Door Prize

I have just come across the most adorable, and easy, project that you can make with your kids. It's the perfect summer project...and it will help you and your kids be creative together:

A "Shhhh!" door hangar for the kids' room.

I've posted a picture of the first side that I created. It was so inexpensive too! I used a Creative Imaginations Bare Chipboard Door Hangar. I covered it with Tim Coffey's bright School Days Paper.

I added some Magic Mesh, a few stickers and buttons and one of my favorite products...mini tees from EK Success. We carry Sesame Street and Disney Tees...they are so cute. Then I used some Queen & Co. chipboard letters to make the word "Shh!"

And here is where kids can help...let them help you choose the right mini tee and the right paper. That way they have a hand in creating something special for their room. Older kids will even be able to help cut out the paper and put the buttons on. And if you haven't let your kids play with Magic Mesh...you are missing out. It is completely repositionable...so there is no such thing as a mistake!

Now, I can hang this on my son's door when he is napping...so Grandpa, Grandma and Dada all know when he is resting.

And just wait til I post a picture and description of the other side of the door hangar. You will love it...now I have to find the time to do it.

Bridal Shower Prep

This evening, my mom and I were busily preparing Bridal Shower Kits. My cousin, Shannon, is having a bridal shower on Saturday...and Shannon loves to scrapbook. So, we are shopping in our warehouse of thousands of scrapbook products to create one-page kits for shower attendees to put together during the event. Whew! It's so much work...but it's the kind of fun work we live for.

So, each kit will have a custom laser title in it, with the attendee's name. These kits--which also contain stickers, ribbon, coordinating print and cardstock papers--will serve as place card holders. The theme is a "Mad Hatter Tea Party", so we've got all kinds of adorable papers...lots of fun, zany prints and some Heidi Grace and Brenda Walton to give it some much-needed femininity.

We are also excited about using some brand new EK Success Tea Party embellishments that we should get in any day now. We will have them up on Paper.com as soon as possible...mini tea napkins and "tea for two" sayings...so cute.

Each bridal shower attendee will put together a page based on the phrase "Things to Remember..." So whether they want to share marital advice or a funny memory they have with the bride, they can scrap away. At the end of the shower, we will put each page in an album, and hand it to the bride.

We will be sure to take pictures of the finished album and post them when we get back from the trip. I hope this works well...we'll let you know if it does work...so you can try it too!

Exclusive New Designs

I am so excited to share with you a sneak peek of some adorable new designs we will be bringing you next month. That's right...we are working with a young, new designer to sell exclusive laser cuts through Paper.com.

Now, we aren't talking cheesy clip art, here! We mean cute, sweet and always original, high quality cuts. Check out the image...you see. I told you they were adorable...I can't wait to use this on a page...it has little boy written all over it.

...I know just which page I will use it on. My son thinks everything is a spider.
Every fuzz.
Every crumb.
Every thing.
And his word for spider is "pih". So he runs around pointing to everything on the ground saying "pih" over and over. It's so cute. (If you are a regular reader, then you know that although my son is two, he doesn't quite speak English. He speaks "Joel"!)

Won't this look adorable as "Entomology 101" on a page about his "pih" obsession?
